Master Painter

On the canvas of my heart

paint the sweetness

of Thy love.

Master Painter of all there is,

give me a picture

of Thy will.

Color bright my soul O' Lord,

and frame my spirit

with Thy grace.

Where my human wisdom

and eye can't see

show me the bright colors

of Thy love.

Just as you colored bright

Thy universe

color bright my desire

to speak Thy word.

Use me in Thy picture O' Lord,

and paint Thy love,

strong upon my heart

So that when you call upon me

my Lord

I will be forever quick

to respond.

In Jesus' name I pray

paint me now with

Thy will my Lord.
