God answers prayers and He hears our prayers wherever we are. I'm saying this because I have experienced God's healing power in a unique way.
It was on an early morning of Good Friday last year when I experienced Jesus' presence in a very powerful way. After watering my lawn around midnight, I had decided to sit down and watch television. The arthritis in my fingers had been bothering me so much that I couldn't sleep. I turned on Channel 37, a television station which broadcasts Christian programs. I watched a program called "Night Talk." Bob Canton from St. Luke's Parish in Stockton and the interviewer named Jack Brownell were praying together. Then Bob started giving out prophecies or messages from the Lord for certain TV viewers and calling out healings and the names of people and the kinds of sicknesses or afflictions that they were healed from. The interviewer had explained to the viewers that Bob was using the gifts of the word of knowledge and wisdom, and prophecy. He said these are some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that are mentioned in the Book of Corinthians.
At that point, I asked the Lord Jesus to heal my arthritis. A few minutes after I prayed, Bob said, "There is a woman watching this program who has arthritis in the joints of her fingers. The Lord wants you to know that He is healing you and touching you right now." I felt something like an electrical power that went through my entire body and around my fingers. My entire body shook. The pain in my fingers left and has not come back since then. It has been more than a year since I received that healing. I have told my family members and friends about what happened to me on the early morning of Good Friday in 1993. I sensed His presence around me that instance. God is not dead; He is very much alive! I thank the Lord for touching and healing me physically and spiritually. Because of this healing, my faith in our God who is full of love has increased tremendously. It is true. Nothing is impossible with God!
